Feeney away to Dundee Utd for the season

July 12, 2008

Cardiff City and Northern Ireland striker Warren Feeney has been signed by Dundee United on a season-long loan.

Dundee United manager Craig Levein:

“He will add pace, experience and a goal scoring capability to the team. It is no secret that I’ve been looking to bring in an experienced striker for next season and Warren certainly meets the criteria expected for this position. Several other clubs approached him over the weekend when news leaked out that he might be available. It is a credit to him however that having agreed to come here, he made good on his word and I’m highly delighted to welcome him to Dundee United.”

Summer Transfers so far

July 3, 2008

Kyle Lafferty from Burnley to Rangers for £3 Million (plus 10% of next transfer, etc) (5-year contract)

Sammy Clingan from Nottingham Forest to Norwich (free transfer).

Martin Paterson from Scunthorpe to Burnley for an initial £1 Million.

Paddy McCourt from Derry City to Celtic (undisclosed, I think) (3-year contract)

…and Maik Taylor has ended the speculation about his future by signing a new 2-year contract with relegated Birmingham.
